Mount Olive Receives Third Grant From the Hardy Plant Society/Mid-Atlantic Group

We are overjoyed and thankful to receive a 2025 grant from the Hardy Plant Society/Mid-Atlantic Group to provide funds for Shared Harvest Cooperative Community Garden at Mount Olive. This is the third grant we have received from them. Donations are appreciated. Garden helpers are welcome. No experience needed.

Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation Awards Grant to Loaves and Fishes Pantry at Mount Olive United Methodist Church
Partnership increases access to nutritious food, provides nutrition education

RANDALLSTOWN, Md. – Loaves and Fishes Pantry at Mount Olive has received $5,000 from the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation to help nourish neighbors experiencing hunger. The “Nourishing Our Neighbors” grant supports community feeding partners as they tackle food insecurity and promote healthier lifestyles through nutritional education initiatives. Mount Olive Receives Grant From the Maryland Food Bank

The Food First Capacity Grant was awarded in July 2025. We are thankful to be able to serve more people and to provide healthy food choices. The Loaves and Fishes Pantry at Mount Olive also received a grants in 2022 and 2023.

Mount Olive “Awarded” and Planted Twenty-Two Trees

Mount Olive was one of seven Baltimore area churches to receive trees from the Chesapeake Bay Trust Urban Tree Planting Initiative. On October 25, 2022, in collaboration with the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay and Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake, Mount Olive planted twenty-two trees around the property.
